Another Successful BEFORE & AFTER in West Omaha

"Green Counter Tops & Ham....errrr Green Eggs & Ham???"

I was getting ready to list a home in West Omaha and walked into their kitchen and saw dark green laminate counter tops.  My first thought was, "This is going to be a problem".  Besides green counter tops being a thing of the past, it's also a very "personal" color....a "polarizing" color, if you will.  Either you like it or you don't.  Not wanting to spend a lot of money, we began to look at our different options.  Granite or Corian were not cost effective budgets for this house.  Then we discovered "pre-cut" laminate counter tops! These are pre-cut to 3 or 4 different lengths (found at Lowes & Home Depot) with the back splash lip included.  You need to buy ones that are slightly longer than your counter tops, cut them to size and install.  (I highly recommend you hire a professional installer to do this job.)  With little money spent, in this case less than $200 for materials, we have new neutral counter tops.  What a difference.  Now with freshly painted kitchen cabinets, new hardware, new tile flooring and new counter tops, this home is ready for the market.  Take a look at the before & after pictures.

AFTER -New neutral laminate counter tops, newly painted cabinets
and all new hardware.  What a difference!
